What is Expected Health and who is it for?
Expected Health is built for and enables patients, providers, and other entities to seamlessly reach any clinic. Patients can submit appointment requests. Providers can send orders and receive results back. Either can send medical record requests and receive a response!
For Patients
Can I book an appointment directly through Expected Health?
Every appointment request is forwarded to each clinic, which helps them to process referrals quickly and reduce delays in scheduling. Patients cannot book appointment times directly on our platform yet.
Do I need a doctor's order before I can schedule my imaging appointment?
Most of the time you will. Most imaging procedures will require an order from your doctor before a clinic can schedule you.
If you need an order, there are opportunities to be connected to a provider via telehealth, some times same day!
How does Expected Health make sure my information is securely shared with clinics?
We are built with healthcare privacy and security in mind. Expected Health use HIPAA-compliant protocols, encryption and controls to safe guard personal health information.

How can I send a referral or order to a clinic through Expected Health?
You can upload an order, clinical documentation, medical request records, or any other supporting documentation through Expected Health. Our platform ensures that the documents uploaded are delivered to the clinic you selected in a timely manner, sometimes even in seconds.
What types of files or documents can I send (e.g., orders, face sheets, clinical notes)?
Expected Health supports the key documents clinics need to support the care of an individual, including provider orders, face sheets, insurance information, and clinical notes.
How will I receive results back from the clinic once the appointment is complete?
With the proper authorization, Clinics Expected Health to return results and reports directly to your office. This helps you close the loop without waiting for faxes or scanning paper records.

How do clinics receive referrals from Expected Health?
Clinics receive referrals through a secure web portal and/or fax. Each referral arrives as a complete digital packet, ready to view, download, and use in your scheduling workflow.
Do clinics need special software to use Expected Health?
No, you do need any special software to use Expected Health. Clinics can log in and use Expected Health through a secure browser-based portal or even via fax. No special hardware or software installation is required!

What is the Expected Health API, and who can use it?
Our API allows software developers, such as EMR vendors, telehealth companies, and practice management platforms, to connect directly to any clinic in our network. This means you can build workflows that send orders, receive results, or enable patients to connect with clinics digitally.
How do I request early access to the API?
You can request access by filling out our API access form. We're currently working with select partners to expand coverage and would be happy to discuss your specific use case.
