About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, empathetic, and proactive Patient Coordinator with a clinical background to support patients through the imaging appointment scheduling process. You’ll work directly with patients, doctors, and imaging clinics, leveraging your healthcare knowledge and technical fluency to ensure timely communication and appointment coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage new appointment requests using digital platforms
  • Track the status of each appointment request and drive it to completion
  • Communicate with patients via phone, text, and email, providing clear and compassionate guidance
  • Contact imaging clinics and doctor’s offices via phone, email, and fax to request or confirm appointment details
  • Maintain accurate records of patient communications and appointment status in electronic systems
  • Interpret and explain basic medical imaging terminology and procedures to patients as needed
  • Adapt to evolving processes and contribute to improving workflows

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of healthcare terminology, workflows, and patient care processes
  • Proficient in computer operations, including quick navigation of digital platforms, email, and text
  • Technical fluency, including ability to use keyboard shortcuts (e.g., copy/paste: Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V or Cmd+C/Cmd+V) and manage multiple browser tabs efficiently
  • Experience handling personal and identifiable health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Professional communication skills via phone, text, and email in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to make outbound calls to clinics to follow up on scheduling
  • Must be available to work during U.S. business hours (Eastern and Pacific Time Zones)
  • Reliable internet connection and phone access
  • Strong attention to detail and independent problem-solving skills
  • Friendly, patient-first attitude and excellent customer service
  • Strong Enlish speaking skills (native equivalent)
